Who is eligible to apply?

Sole traders, startups or SMEs with fewer than 50 employees, registered with a valid Maltese VAT number are eligible. Your business activities must have been ongoing – at least – since 1 January 2025. 

Is there an entry fee?

No, submitting an application for the GreenBiz Awards is completely free, making it accessible for all eligible businesses to showcase their sustainability efforts.

What are the Awards Categories?

There are 5 Categories:

1 – Fashion: Apparel, accessories, footwear, etc

2 – Household: Furniture, cleaning supplies, home decor, etc

3 – Beauty & Wellness: Skincare, cosmetics, spas and holistic practitioners.

4 – Food & Drinks: Fresh produce, beverages, catering and specialty foods.

5 – Green Entrepreneur of the Year: For eco-innovation not fitting in above categories.

Can I apply for multiple categories?

Yes, you can apply for multiple categories, but you need to submit a seperate application form for each category.

What is the application process?

Complete the application form and submit it with all the required attachments before 12 July 2025. Additional material, (eg, photos, marketing, etc) can be sent by email. Ensure your submission is error-free and addresses all criteria. 

What happens after I submit my entry?

Submissions are reviewed for validity post-deadline. Valid entries are scored by a judging panel based on Environmental Impact (30 points), Ethical Process (30 points), Innovation (20 points) Marketing (10 points), and Viability (10 points). The top 3 finalists per category are announced in September and invited to the Awards Ceremony on 13 November 2025.

What do winners receive?

The winners (one per category) will receive a trophy, certificate and year-round publicity. There will also be a 6th winner, the ‘Audience Choice’s Award’ is voted on by attendees via a mobile link during the ceremony.

Can I modify my entry after submission?

No, entries cannot be modified once submitted, so ensure your application is complete and accurate before submission.

How can I strengthen my application?

Address each judging criterion thoughtfully, use clear visuals with bullet points and charts if applicable, include testimonials, and highlight your achievements. Download the Entry Guide from the homepage for detailed tips and consider professional proofreading.

When and where is the Awards Ceremony?

The Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 13 November 2025 at The Notch, Urban Valley Resort, San Gwann. From 9am to 5pm. Finalists will be notified of the venue and details in advance.
