Finders Keepers, Council of Europe Gardens, Gzira / Ta’ Xbiex
Sunday 4th July, 7am-11am
We are excited to present to you a new concept market for fashion lovers. Organised in collaboration with Vogue XChange, this market is a tribute to pre-loved, vintage and sustainable fashion.
Fashion is the 2nd most polluting industry in the world. It is responsible for more annual carbon emissions than all international flights and maritime shipping combined. We, as consumers have an important part to play in this scenario, and we can create positive change just by being mindful of what we buy. We are tempted into purchasing fast fashion because we do not dare to look beyond the product and the price tag. When we do, we see a series of environmental threats and social injustice.
Finders Keepers want to offer an alternative whereby everybody wins, including the planet; an opportunity where people can buy and sell second-hand, or pre-loved, items of fashion, that are still in excellent or very good condition, for a very reasonable price and give a new life to the item. Through this activity, we want to raise awareness and inspire people to rethink the way they consume and discard clothing.
Join us for an early morning market, and enjoy a scrumptios vegan breakfast or brunch in the beautiful gardens of Gzira / Ta’ Xbiex border, with plenty of trees, a spectacular sea view, and a kids playground.
Participate with a stall
Only excellent or very good condition items will be accepted. All items will be properly inspected prior to the event and the organisers reserve the right to refuse certain items from being displayed.
